TRNG-0202 intro to web switching and load balancing
Description
TRNG-0202 is a comprehensive study of the layer 4 through 7 features of Foundry Networks ServerIron products. Students gain hands on experience in configuration of typical installations with the ServerIrons. Lecture topics are supported with real world labs involving: Source NAT, Direct Server Return, Active-Active Server Load Balancing, Firewall Load Balancing (FWLB), and Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB).

Prerequisites

To fully benefit from this course you should have a working knowledge of the listed technologies:
Foundry Networks CLI, Foundry Router Interfaces addressing, DNS, the OSI reference model, TCP/UDP port numbers, structure of a URL address.

Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
  • Identify where Foundry ServerIron products are used in typical networks.
  • Configure ServerIrons in Layer 4 through 7 applications.
  • Incorporate fault tolerance and high availability at different levels.
  • Redirect content to cache servers without configuring a browser proxy.
  • Configure FWLB.
  • Implement policy based switching keying on SSL ID, cookie, or URL.
